Seascape Academies FAQs
Can I choose other days for my child to attend?
Flexible Options to Fit Your Family's Schedule
We understand that life happens. That’s why Seascape Academies offers flexible options to accommodate your needs:
Parent Swap – Coordinate with other families to trade in-person days as needed.
Wraparound Care – Pay a weekly fee to allow attendance on additional days beyond your child’s usual schedule.
Day Switches – If capacity allows (maximum of 15 students), we may be able to accommodate one-time day switches.
Our goal is to make scheduling work for you while ensuring consistency for your child.
Where are you located?
Seascape Academies is proudly based in Savannah, Georgia. While we’re finalizing our physical location for the 2025–2026 school year, our top priority remains the same: a safe, accessible, and welcoming environment where students can thrive.
Stay tuned for updates — we’ll share as soon as our new home is confirmed!

Do you accept GSNS?
Working Toward Multiple Tuition Support Options
We are not on the GSNS list for 2025–2026 due to our first-year status, but we fully expect to qualify for:
GSNS (Georgia Special Needs Scholarship) in 2026–27
Georgia Promise Scholarship in 2026–27
Apogee Scholarship Program (currently in discussion)
To bridge the gap this year, we’ve applied for an NSF grant that, if awarded, could cover nearly 50% of tuition for eligible families.
What ages do you support?
Currently: Grades 3–5 (Expanding Soon!)
For 2025–2026, we are focused on students in 3rd through 5th grade as part of our NSF grant initiative. However, we are exploring the possibility of:
A 2nd–3rd grade cohort (Mon, Tue, Fri)
A 4th–5th grade cohort (Wed, Thu, Fri)
📋 We’re surveying families to guide our expansion. Share your feedback here.
Why are you starting with only grades 3–5?
Intentional, Developmentally-Aligned Grouping
We’ve chosen to begin with 3rd–5th grade students because this age group shares similar academic, social, and emotional needs. By focusing on a narrow grade band, we can:
Provide more targeted instruction
Create a calmer sensory environment
Foster meaningful peer relationships
Reduce the overstimulation and complexity of serving all grades in one space
We believe this focused model leads to better outcomes — and as we grow, we plan to expand with the same care and intention.
Will you offer more grade levels in the future?
Yes — Based on Community Needs and Capacity
We’re actively surveying families to determine interest in expanding to other grade levels. Our goal is to grow in a way that preserves our high level of individualized support, small group ratios, and safe learning environments.
Each expansion will be planned intentionally, with separate cohorts that maintain the integrity of our current model.
Are therapies provided during school hours?
Integrating Therapy into the School Day
At Seascape Academies, we understand how critical therapy services are — and how challenging it can be for families to balance school and appointments. Our goal is to allow private therapists to provide services on-site during the school day whenever scheduling permits.
If on-site services are not available or feasible, we will actively support families in coordinating with their local school district to access any therapies their child is entitled to under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act (IDEIA).
This ensures every child gets the support they need — either at school or through their district — without compromising their education or well-being.
What is the student-to-staff ratio?
Small Ratios for Big Impact
Seascape Academies maintains a low student-to-staff ratio — no more than 5:1 — to ensure each child receives personalized attention, regulation support, and consistent supervision.
We also provide wraparound paraprofessional support, especially in our self-regulation zones or during high-need times of day.
How is Seascape different from public or traditional private schools?
A Microschool Built Just for Your Child
Unlike large traditional settings, Seascape is intentionally small and specialized. Our key differences include:
Low student-to-staff ratios
Year-round structure with consistent routines
Inclusion of private therapies
Flexible attendance options
Integrated SEL and regulation support
Customized academic pacing
We don’t try to make students “fit the system” — we design a system that fits them.
What does a typical day look like?
Calm, Consistent, and Child-Centered
Each in-person day includes:
Morning arrival and sensory regulation
Academic instruction in small groups
Frequent movement and brain breaks
Optional social lunch and peer interaction
Afternoon enrichment and SEL time
Fridays focus on community-based learning and whole-group activities that support generalization of skills
