Student Centered Classroom

Empowering Students with Autism

"Every student deserves a practical education tailored to their unique needs. Say goodbye to classrooms that fit the district’s needs — it's time for a learning experience that truly fits your child’s needs!"

A Student-Centered Microschool in Savannah

"We offer a unique, personalized, year-round educational experience designed to empower students with Autism to reach their fullest potential. Our goal is to provide students with a non-traditional setting where they can choose their preferred style of seating and where they can self-regulate their emotions with guidance and training provided by staff. Our approach is a Positive Behavioral Intervention System where students will learn to recognize their emotions and understand that it is okay to take breaks by utilizing our quite library area, physical movement area, or sensory enriched area.

In-Person Sessions

2 days per week

"Our in-person sessions provide academic instruction in natural teaching environments, emphasizing practical everyday activities that help students build essential skills for greater independence."

Virtual Sessions

2 days per week

"Our virtual sessions feature recorded academic lessons in core subject areas, allowing students to learn at their own pace. For added flexibility, students also have the option to be on campus on these days if desired."

Social Training

Weekly on Friday

"Every Friday, all students come together for whole-group activities designed to build social, communication, and teamwork skills. These activities take place either on-campus or out in the community, providing valuable real-world learning experiences."

Our Curriculum

At Seascape Academies, we are committed to providing structured, individualized education that supports the whole child — academically, socially, and emotionally.

Our Curriculum Includes:

  • Math: Saxon Math 54 — clear, incremental lessons ideal for students who thrive on consistency

  • Reading: Explode the Code — phonics-based program that supports decoding and fluency

  • Social-Emotional Learning: Daily instruction to build emotional regulation, flexibility, and peer interaction

  • Customized Plans: Every student receives an individualized approach shaped by their unique strengths and needs

We pair these time-tested programs with new innovations — including the responsible use of AI tools and real-world engagement strategies to make learning more relevant and exciting.

Real-World Math Through Sports

To make abstract math concepts more tangible for our students, Seascape is launching a sports-integrated math initiative. In partnership with local sports teams, such as the Savannah Bananas and Ghost Pirates, we’ll bring learning to life through real-time team statistics.
Students will track scores, calculate averages, graph player performance, and more — turning math class into a personally meaningful and engaging experience.

Grant-Supported Research (Pending)

Seascape Academies is currently pursuing a research grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF) to explore how AI can enhance learning outcomes for Autistic students.

If awarded, this funding would help us:

  • Create a “living lab” model to compare traditional and AI-supported instruction

  • Provide students with calming tools, personalized prompts, and adaptive learning platforms

  • Share research insights with the wider education community

Seascape will integrate carefully selected AI-powered tools into daily instruction, including:

  • Squirrel AI – adaptive learning in math and reading

  • Inner Explorer + AI prompts – for mindfulness and emotional regulation

  • AI-generated social stories and communication scripts – to support peer interaction

These tools allow us to personalize instruction, support self-regulation, and foster social engagement — all key goals in our research-driven approach.
